The woman’s hat emoji appears different across all platforms, however almost all depict a light brown or beige straw hat with some sort of embellishment around the base. The exception to this is Samsung, which use a rounded pink hat with a pink ribbon and bow. Other versions also sport bows, which can come in a wide variety of colors: pink, purple, green or red. Twitter, Mozilla and HTC all include a single white flower too. The emoji is used to represent fashion, and depending on the context can refer to either formal or informal dress. Combined with other emojis, it can also be a signal that it’s very sunny out, and you’re going to need a hat to protect yourself!
